Modlin Ellett Associates provides highly personal guidance in fundraising, board governance and development, marketing, and communications.

The firm is small by design to ensure personalized, hands-on counsel and to serve each client in a relationship that enables your organization to better serve your constituencies. We offer both the experience to create a plan strategically tailored to your needs and the coaching and hands-on partnership to assure its successful implementation. When advantageous, we engage a select group of senior associates who bring additional expertise.

Meet Ruth

Ruth Modlin Ellett, CFRE, has earned a reputation for fundraising success, professionalism, high ethical standards, effectiveness as a teacher, and generosity of spirit and time.

She has demonstrated her deep commitment both to building private philanthropy and to uplifting the development profession for more than 35 years, 20 of these at the helm of Modlin Ellett Associates.

  • "Ruth was a delight to work with. She took time to understand our fund development history so she could help us set the next goals. Then, she helped us map out a plan to get there successfully. She stayed on top of incremental steps, keeping our Development Office and Board of Trustees engaged in their roles in fund/friend raising. With her support, we were able to exceed our annual fund goals while at the same time launch a successful capital campaign. She remains an important resource for our school - her expertise and professionalism are so valuable."

  • "Ruth is wise, caring, and thoughtful in her approach. She guided our new CEO and me in how we can best support each other and helped us to ask ourselves the right questions as we developed strategies. I am grateful for Ruth and I highly recommend her for any team looking for a true partner in reaching their goals."
